The Brazilian star Issues Regret to Real Madrid Devotees

Vinicius Jr in action

Vinicius Jr has registered five goals in ten La Liga appearances this season.

Los Merengues winger Vinicius Jr has expressed regret to fans for his reaction when substituted in Sunday's fiery El Clasico win.

He was taken off in the second half and displayed his frustration by heading directly to the dressing room.

Vinicius eventually reappeared to the sidelines and, following his team's 2-1 victory, sought to engage the opposition's opposing player during contentious final whistle incidents.

"This day I want to apologise to all the Real Madrid fans for my response when I was substituted in the big match," he shared on social media.

"Just as I have previously expressed during today's practice, I would like to say sorry once more to my colleagues, the team, and the president.

"Sometimes fervor gets the better of me because I continuously aim to triumph and help my team. My determined nature originates in the love I hold for this club and everything it represents."

The player moved to the Spanish capital from his former club in recent years for £38.7m and has scored triple figures in numerous matches.

But his prospects in the La Liga is uncertain with rumors in lately suggesting that the club would consider letting the 25-year-old leave if they obtained a good proposal.

When he was taken off on that day, TV coverage from coverage provider the service recorded him remarking: "Always me! I'm departing the side! It's preferable if I go, I'm leaving."

In his new message on X, he stated: "I commit to keep battling at all times for the good of the club, as I have performed since the initial arrival."
