Brooklyn Earick Rules Out Spurs Buyout Proposal Post-Initial Contact

US technology mogul the entrepreneur has dismissed making a formal takeover bid for Spurs.

Spurs had previously “unequivocally rejected” an preliminary inquiry from a syndicate spearheaded by the American last month and maintained the organization was not for sale.

However British acquisition regulations required that, following an informal proposal rejected, the interested parties needed to make an offer by 24 October or announce they would not proceed.

Official word of the decision was issued in a statement made by the club to the financial markets, confirming the team is “ceased to be in an takeover phase.”

Earick shared an snapshot of the statement on digital channels, adding: “It was a privilege interacting with Spurs and the owners' delegates over the past few months.

“I hold great respect for the club, its executives, and its followers, and wish them only the best.”

Spurs' leadership expressed gratitude to the group for its “cooperative stance” in discussions and for “acknowledging the definitive view” of the shareholders that the organization is unavailable.

Brooklyn Earick is a one-time music presenter who also was employed in space technology for Nasa before creating Redacted RnD, which specializes in innovation, media, sport and entertainment.

His approach was the third approach turned down by the organization's leadership since the abrupt resignation of long-serving chairman Daniel Levy in last month.

Earlier in September, the organization declined offers from ex-Newcastle investor Staveley's the investment firm and a group led by Dr Roger Kennedy and Ng through the holding company.

Daniel Levy and his relatives hold about a significant stake of Enic Holdings – which has an almost 87% interest in Spurs.

He was the Premier League's longest-serving chairman and is believed to have made more than £50m during his almost quarter of a century in the position.

However he was also the subject of regular protests by the club's followers, particularly last term as home competition outcomes turned out below expectations.

The north London club claimed their initial silverware in seventeen years when they overcame Manchester United in last season's European final.
